The New Mexico Fish and Wildlife Research Unit is the result of a partnership among the U.S. Geological Survey Biological Resources, the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, New Mexico State University, and the Wildlife Management Institute. Representatives of the partnership meet annually to identify cooperator needs, set research priorities, and discuss the direction and overall mission of the New Mexico Unit. Although the Unit’s current Cooperative Agreement does not have the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a signatory, future renewal of the Agreement is planned to include signatory of the Service as a Cooperator.
