David Leslie Unit Leader Email: cleslie@usgs.gov Tel: (405) 744 - 6342 After spending the first 18 years of my life bird hunting and fishing in the northland prairies and forests of Minnesota (going to school too), I moved west and received my B.S. in Arizona, M.S. in Nevada, and Ph.D. in Oregon—the latter while studying elk and deer on the Olympic Peninsula in western Washington. Ever on the road in those days, my family and I moved cross-country to Maine where I taught in the Wildlife Department at the University of Maine–Orono. In 1985, we moved to Stillwater America, as they say, where I joined the Oklahoma Unit as an Assistant Unit, becoming Unit Leader in 1989. |
