Evaluation of the Bonus Fishery Created by the Low-Density S...

Duration

July 2018 - June 2023

Narrative

Striped Bass stocking in reservoirs can create a unique angling opportunity to catch a trophy fish. However, there may be concern that these fish may compete with or prey upon other sport fishes like crappie and bass. Working with MDC and Arkansas Game and Fish Department, our study will guide management agencies to develop stocking strategies to create a supplemental fishery while minimizing impacts to existing fisheries.
