Habitat selection and dispersal of Lake Sturgeon in Missouri...

July 2016 - June 2021

Recent reports of Lake Sturgeon spawning has raised awareness for the recovery of this species. The MDC would eventually want to consider developing a limited fishery for Lake Sturgeon. Our study will identify if Lake Sturgeon remain in tributaries during all seasons and would help inform a possible tributary-only fishery.
