Michigan Bald Eagle Database

January 2009 - June 2010

1. Develop and maintain a database on bald eagle productivity and nest locations; on environmental contaminants measured in eggs, blood, feathers, and carcasses of bald eagles; on banding and nestling data from both the current MDEQ Michigan Bald Eagle Biosentinel Program and other available data sets from the state of Michigan.
2. Work with GIS specialists to make the database useable for GIS systems.
3. Provide an annual update of data in January of each year to both agencies.
4. Develop a manual on use of the database to ensure that when new personnel are hired, they have a reference for the database.
