The three primary objectives are for evaluating the JV King Rail model are: 1) determine the value of an expert-based approach to landscape assessment for the species, 2) collect actual population and habitat data which will be used to build a better model, and 3) provide better distribution information for this species and other secretive marsh birds sampled while evaluating the model.
