Louisiana Education Activities

Field oriented courses are common and are often taught with other faculty from the School of Renewable Natural Resources

Unit scientists teach a number of graduate courses focused on wetlands, restoration ecology, policy, and behavioral ecology. In addition, Unit scientists provide guest lectures to a number of University classes.

Training Offered

  • MOCC Training and Recertification (Megan La Peyre May 2018)
  • I led the development of a wetland training workshop in Xianghai, China in August, 2017. I recruited 2 additional instructors, John Vradenburg and Drew Fowler. This was a 4 day workshop at Xianghai National Nature Reserve in Northeast China and was attended by staff from 11 National Nature Reserves, 8-10 graduate students, and a few Chinese faculty.
