Biography

I grew up in Mexico City, where I've spent most of my life. Since I was a kid, I was interested in science and wildlife in general, and that led me to pursue a degree in Biology, and a Master's degree in Ecology. In my free time I enjoy reading popular science books about the cosmos and how our universe works.

Research Interests

Currently, I am working assessing the movement and survival of juvenile Atlantic salmon during their downstream migration in the Penobscot River. I aim to understand how different environmental and anthropogenic factors affect the ecological and evolutionary processes of this anadromous fish. Finally, I also try to characterize how hydroelectric dam affect the fish movement and survival.
