Seasonal movements of rainbow trout, brown trout, and mountain whitefish in the Smith River, Montana

Narrative

The purpose of the study is to;
1) identify spawning times and locations for these species over multiple years and assess spawning site fidelity, homing to or straying from natal streams,
2) identify winter and summer locations and habitat requirements,
3) identify the degree of interchange of fish between the Smith and Missouri rivers, and
4) identify factors that limit fish abundance and distribution (e.g., passage barriers, irrigation systems, water temperature, water abundance).
