    Research funds are principally obtained through grants and contracts from NM Department of Game and Fish, US FWS, USDA FS, US BOR, US BLM, DoD, Valles Caldera National Trust, local, regional and national NGO (Rocky Mountain Elk Foudation, Trout Unlimited, T&E, Inc.)
