  • Terri DonovanPrinciples of Modeling On Line Course. This course introduces students to a variety of modeling techniques applicable to resouce management and conservation issues. Modeling topics include population models, decision analysis, and ecosystem models. The instructors are world-renowned modeler and professor emeritus, Dr. Anthony (Tony) M. Starfield, and spreadsheet modeler Dr. Therese (Terri) Donovan. Tony's modules introduce modeling concepts and techniques, while Terri's instruction covers how to build models with spreadsheets. Each modeling topic consists of lectures, spreadsheets exercises using Excel 2007, and a scenario to check modeling skills. This course was developed in collaboration between the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, National Training Center, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Conservation Training Center, and the Vermont Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. (October 2009 - December 2010)
  • Terri DonovanParticipated on a team to develop automated websites for the Unit national program from data entered in the Digital Measures database. This effort involved designing the website design and content, and working with computer scientists to write java program that automates the creation of new webpages for the entire CRU program on a nightly basis. (June 2009 - February 2010)

  • Donna ParrishProvided review of Culvert Management Plan for Vermont Fish and Wildlife (July 2007 - July 2007)
  • Terri DonovanDesigned, developed, and scripted a web-driven database program to track graduate activities within the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. Data inputs include graduate student information, program information, dates of enrollment, student participation in the School, and graduate student requirements. The database is a MySQL database and was coded with php, displays on a password-protected site, and contains many automated queries and reports needed by the School. (January 2007 - Present)
